Laura Garcia-Bartenfelder
Partner, United Island & Yacht

Laura was raised in Europe between England and Spain.
She lived in the Bahamas for 20 years where she had a career in the corporate world on New Providence before moving to Harbour Island, Bahamas to own and operate a Scuba Diving Center while raising 3 daughters. Now based in the USA, Laura has overseen the growth of our offices in Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach and Stuart. Her love for the ocean and customer service was a great match for United Island & Yacht, where she brings a very personable service to all our clients.

Andrew Malone
President, United Shipping Company, Nassau

Andrew was born and raised in Nassau and locally educated at Nassau’s Queen’s College. He continues a family tradition of professions in the Marine and Shipping Industry. His grandparents and his father were involved in many facets of the maritime industry including Ship Agency Management, Vessel Stevedoring and Ship’s Husbandry. Andrew is a trained Commercial Aviator and also spent time in the Business Equipment Industry before returning to the Shipping Industry to run the company his father started in 1967. As head of the USCL team, Andrew brings years of shipping experience, local logistics and customer service to the table.

Rich Ryan
General Manager, United Shipping Company, Nassau

Rich Ryan recently joined United Shipping as its General Manager bringing extensive customer service experience as well as a gourmet provisioning experience. He spent over 25 years in the airline industry, having managed stations for Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic Airways and Copa Airlines. Rich also owned and operated the first gourmet market in Nassau where he learned the ins and outs of yacht provisioning. Rich Ryan was born in Nassau, Bahamas but received his secondary education at the University of Florida.
