Joe was an initial investor in United Island & Yacht at its founding in 2017 alongside partner Laura Garcia-Bartenfelder, and joined the company as a full-time partner in October 2024. With more than 25 years' experience across the superyacht industry — including a long tenure as a partner at Romora Bay Resort & Marina in Harbour Island — Joe brings deep relationships across captains, brokers, marinas and crew. He currently serves as Chairman of the U.S. Superyacht Association (USSA), sits on the boards of Seafarers' House at Port Everglades and the Association of Bahamas Marinas, and is committed to making UIY the leading yacht agency across the USA, the Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.
